About Me
My name is Shannon O. Sady -- the O is for my maiden name O'Neill. I am a graphic/web designer currently living in the Richmond, VA area working with SnagAJob.com and living with my charming husband, Ben. I fancy everything associated with design and created this site to share my work and things that catch my eye.
I began my career in print work doing logos, brochures, posters, etc. and even spent a short time in the world of packaging design. Since then I have focused on web design and through wonderful colleagues and a little conference called SXSW, I gained knowledge in the beauty of web standards.
I graduated from Virginia Tech with a BFA in Graphic Design and those that know me are well aware I am very proud to be a HOKIE. We make it back there often and try to relive the best days of our lives. Other things I like are photography, philly pretzels, watching movies, water sports, college football, HGTV and dogs...meet Ginger - the new addition to the family!

Absorption
I recently attended DC Design Talks, the first part of the DC Talks series, a one day conference for DC area web professionals. The event was full of awesome speakers and great people! My friend and former colleague, Samantha Warren, spoke on Web Typography and engaged the crowd to “challenge yourself rather than focus on the limitations of the medium”. She referenced some wonderful sites if you’re in need of inspiration - here are a few: Font Shop, Grid Calculator,and I Love Typography - if you’re a Typography fiend - take a stab at this Arial vs. Helvetica quiz, then check out this article on how to tell them apart!
